waiting WITH the Lord

Yesterday, the devotional in Jesus Calling was all about God's timing....


"I am working on your behalf.  Bring Me all your concerns, including your dreams.  Talk with Me about everything, letting the Light of My Presence shine on your hopes and plans.... Do not try to hurry this process.  If you want to work with Me, you have to accept My time frame.  Hurry is not in my nature.  Abraham and Sarah had to wait many years for the fulfillment of My promise, a son.  Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses."


This morning, I read this quote by Louie Giglio...
"Are you just waiting on the Lord, or waiting WITH the Lord?  Big shift!  Amazing truth.  No one waits alone."


I tend to forget that hurry is not in God's nature...His ways are higher than our ways.  This just resonated with my so much.  My heart is making the shift and waiting WITH God and not on Him....


Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.  Hebrews 11:1
