We went skiing over President's Day weekend with the Morgan family. Grey stayed home with his grannies and had a fantastic time getting every ounce of attention and not having to share it with P!
We flew because we went to Crested Butte...which is about an 8 hr drive (much too far for mountain roads for only a weekend) When JT mentioned that we might be going (and flying) Parker immediately started crying and said he didn't want to go, because he didn't want to crash. I didn't start crying, but I felt EXACTLY the same way! I hate that he got that part of me! Anyway, after telling myself over and over and over and over...to get out of my own way and enjoy the blessings that God is putting in my path, there was a peace. Thank you, Lord!
We left Thursday night...
The moon was full and bright and illuminated the snow covered mountains. I had my own little worship service right there on that little plane. I just kept thinking about the Chris Tomlin song that says, "Who has seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow?" I'm in a season of God increasing my wonder for him. I was just overwhelmed by how God revealed to me that night his sense of beauty, wonder, power. I felt so so small, and rightly so.
The kids went to ski school for 2 days...and the "grown-ups" got to ski together. JT and I haven't skied together in a VERY long time, so we had such a great time. I really got to let go and just enjoy myself. Yay! Parker and Cole had some "slumber parties", but were so exhausted that they only stayed up for a little while. :) Crested Butte has an adventure park with ice skating, bungee trampolines, and a really great tubing hill. It was such a great place for a family. We go to Lake City every summer, which isn't too far away and it planted the seed in my heart. When we get to LC, I can literally feel myself exhale and relax. JT and I are planning to go to CB this summer.
The last day, we ALL skied together. We started on the bunny hill with the boys. Thane took over the "teaching" and the boys did really great when he did. It filled my heart to ski with JT and Parker on the "big" mountain.

| He wasn't too sure about the bungee...and didn't have nearly as much fun on it as we thought he would! |
 |
| The tubing hill was a HUGE success! |

| He kind of spent a lot of time like this, but got pretty good and fixing his ski's and getting up. |
 |
| Parker was really concerned that the pilot was asleep on our way there. He started to yell his name just to be sure, but couldn't remember it! :) |
